Surrey Wedding Photographer Anya and Mark

Driving up to Croydon on a bright morning was a very relaxing way to kick off the day. As a Surrey Wedding photographer, i am fortunate to photograph in some lovely locations. Anya and Mark’s wedding was no different as the venue was Mark’s family home in a pretty leafy road near to Purley. Logistically it was very straight forward as the ceremony was taking place at St Mary’s Church at the bottom of the same road and then the plan was for some romantic images of the couple in the lovely park next door.

Mark and Anya met and live in the Ukraine so as is often the case our meetings had taken place via the modern gem that is Skype. This enabled us to discuss all their plans and ideas, leaving them to relax and enjoy their big day without having to worry about what i was up to.

On arrival at the house, everything seemed relaxed and calm and it was lovely to meet both families as the hair and make-up were being completed. I took the opportunity to capture the important moments and interactions. Then it was off to the church to catch up with Mark and his brother who was his best man.

After discreetly covering the ceremony i photographed the few requested family groups outside the church. This enabled the guests to make their way back up the hill to the reception while we walked next door into the pretty park.

In the park i spent just 10 minutes or so creating some intimate images of the the couple, relaxing together.

Then i shot back up the house to be ready for Mark and Anya’s arrival. They took time out to walk up the hill from the park to join their friends and family drinks on the front lawn.
