Award Winning Wedding Photography BIPP National Wedding and Portrait Photography Awards in London
I have always strived to produce the very best work for my my clients and a such my Award Winning Wedding Photography has always been a huge part of my service. Although i never actually shoot for awards at a wedding, the fact that i am constantly pushing myself to produce better and more dynamic images is only good for all.
Yesterday i travelled to London for the Annual BIPP Wedding and Portrait Photography Awards. I went up on the train to London Victoria with my great friend Scott Hogg a leading wedding and portrait photographer based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. We had both been pleasantly surprised to hear that we had been short listed in the Professional Wedding Photography category.
A brief tube journey on arrival in the city took us to the Embankment and the Tattershall Castle, an ex-paddle steamer, on the River Thames.
This was where the presentations and reception were taking place.
The entries were in general superb and there had been in excess of 500 entries in the Wedding Photography section alone!
Anyway it came as a great shock to hear that i had been placed second and third in this nationwide competition and that Scott was awarded first place! Its amazingly satisfying to hear that your real wedding images have been recognised by your peers and leading professional judges. Of course the most important people are my clients and their satisfaction but this is massive boost to a photographer’s career! I was also over the moon for Scott. His image was simply stunning and the award very much deserved.
The train trip back was weird as we both in shock and Scott got off at Gatwick for his flight home, while i carried on back to East Sussex.
